Hearts and Hoofbeats (Animal\10HEAR09)
Description: This seminar explores communication skills as well as develops a deeper sense of personal awareness through equine experiential learning with a small herd of horses. No riding is involved and no previous knowledge of horses is required. Horses are amazing teachers of the spiritual path and respond to our intention, honesty and self-awareness. We will explore the power of non-verbal communication, learn confident leadership skills and have a fun day experiencing the wisdom of horses. You’ll interact with the horses in a safe environment in a small group setting at Madrona Farm on Course Notes: Note: This seminar takes place on Wear comfortable sturdy shoes, no sandals and be prepared for being outdoors in NW weather. Snacks and bottled water are provided, but please bring a sack lunch. Instructor: Pamela Houghton, ND, LAc, MA, has been a horse rider for 40 years and a horse owner for 20 years. She is a certified practitioner with the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association, a member of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association, and has studied with Human-Equine Alliances for Learning. She hosts workshops at her farm to build self-confidence and leadership skills, as well as conducts individual counseling sessions. Houghton has also been a naturopath for 25 years. Course Sign Up:
